We arrived at 2:30 pm and asked about lunch. The kitchen was closed, but they said we could get pancakes with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate, which worked perfectly for us. We sat down and waited, but even after 20 minutes, with no rush on, nobody came to take our order. They laughed as they watched us leave. Such disrespectful, unwelcoming people. NEVER EVER.

You can walk into Ypres in under a kilometre, with views of the ramparts and the surrounding area along the way. The B&B sits right by a large lake, and the rooms are in excellent shape, clearly well cared for by the young couple.

I booked through Booking.com and tried repeatedly to arrange the prepayment, but couldn't get hold of the property. I sent loads of emails and made phone calls, and got no reply at all. I strongly don't recommend this place.

We were cycling through Belgium and stopped because we wanted something to eat. The kitchen had closed after 2 pm, which I can understand, and the waitress offered pancakes and coffee. That sounded great, but 20 minutes went by and nobody took our order. The waitress just smiled broadly and said, “Nobody came to see you.” Avoid this place. Worst welcome ever.

The location was amazing, and Magalie and Carl made us feel welcome and were really helpful. We had a fabulous three days and would definitely come back. I highly recommend it to others.
