Erna made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She'd emailed useful information beforehand, and after our long journey she gave us tea and biscuits before showing us the room we chose. It was warm, comfortable, spotless, and had an ensuite bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, plenty of hot water, a strong shower, and fresh towels every day. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty to choose from: cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, croissants, bread, yogurts, tea, coffee, and juice. Erna also had lots of local tips for places to eat and visit, including discounts. The town is a short walk away, and you can walk to the Menin Gate. Thanks for making us so welcome in your lovely home. We'd happily return and would highly recommend it.

The landlady knows the area well, and breakfast was great. I felt very welcome, and the place was clean and tidy. It's about a ten-minute walk into Ypres and to the Menin Gate.

I was put in an ensuite room to start with, but then had to move because they'd double-booked it. The replacement was a small room with only a bed, yet the price stayed the same. I later saw on TripAdvisor that this apparently wasn't the first time.
