We're just finishing our first night at Villa Vauban, and the hosts have already made us feel welcome and given us useful information about the area. It's a fantastic building, and the room is bigger and better equipped than many hotels, with free bottles of water and a beer. If we need somewhere to stay in Ypres again, this will be at the top of our list.

Ria & Lorenzo made us feel at home right away and shared plenty of helpful information about the town and surrounding area. We enjoyed such filling breakfasts in the lovely guest dining room, and Ria checked that everything was to our liking. Our spacious bedroom had a very comfortable bed and a fabulous ensuite, with drinks in the fridge and chocolates as a lovely surprise. Villa Vauban is just outside Ypres fortified wall and close to the Menin Gate. We had booked two nights, but after seeing the property and meeting the hosts, we reserved a third. We weren't disappointed, it's one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in, and we highly recommend it.

Breakfast was a highlight each day, and the location was peaceful despite being just a couple of minutes' walk from the city. We stayed four nights in June 2025. Ria and Renzo were charming hosts in their beautiful house, with their feline counterparts Victor and Stella. There's off-road parking and a separate entrance to the spacious, well-appointed guest accommodation. Villa Vauban is a real gem for a visit to Ieper and the surrounding area.
