Everything we needed was there, and the place was very clean. We had a great stay and are looking forward to coming back.

The cottage itself was clean and cozy, but there were several issues. There was damp on the living room walls, a half brick was missing above the front door, and you could only just stand upright in the upstairs bathroom. There were at least 50 towels, so you could use a different one at each spot. On the second morning, the owner came in at 9:30 while we were having breakfast to say the place wasn't clean. Is it really expected that shoes stay in the hallway when they're dirty, and are we allowed to live in the cottage at all? Were we supposed to clean the kitchen before breakfast? The owners apparently wanted to receive all the money from Booking.com and Novasol, even though they chose to work with those agencies. A week after the stay, the person who booked was called because the owners apparently weren't getting enough from the agencies. Were we meant to sort that out too? It's a nice little house, but I think the owners should loosen their grip on their little darling. And watch out: even if you haven't used the microwave, an inaccurate timer could cost you €25 from the deposit.

The location is excellent, right beside a grave of fallen soldiers. We did wonder whether they were resting peacefully there, though. The tirade began... We'd booked through Booking and called Annie a few days later to confirm. She said everything was in order and that we could come. Clear agreements and communication are meant to make good friends, but clearly not with Annie.

The cottage was in tip-top shape, but the lady renting it out was not part of what we'd booked. We were there for two days, and at 9:30 on the first day she simply walked in to say it needed cleaning, it was dark, and the shutters had to be closed. She doesn't seem to understand privacy. The way she dealt with it was unprofessional too. If I wanted people giving me orders, I'd enlist in the army.
