Novotel Ieper Centrum Flanders Fields

The hotel let us know ahead of time that a large group of youth footballers would be staying, so we knew what to expect. They also kindly moved us away from the lifts because one team was louder than the others. Our room was lovely, spotless, and spacious, and the management and staff were helpful, friendly, and polite. A fabulous one-night stay, and definitely a new favorite hotel.

There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, so we didn’t eat at the hotel. For parking, we chose the secure private underground garage with direct access from the lobby instead of street parking around the corner. It was 24 euros for a couple of days, which seemed reasonable. The historic square and Menin Gate are only a short walk away. Reception was welcoming, and our clean, comfortable room was surprisingly spacious. I especially liked the walk-in shower.

It was hard to leave after meeting so many lovely people, especially Cedric in the lobby, so make sure you have a chat with him. I’ll miss the staff, breakfasts, beer, and conversations. The location is walkable to everything, and the walks around town stay with you. I spent a few weeks at the Novotel and wished my room had been a bit bigger and had a tub to soak in, but that’s just my preference. Open your window and listen to the bells from the college and city center, it’s pretty magical. Coffee girl Lindsey

I spent three nights here as part of a tour. The location just off the main square was ideal, and the facilities were excellent. My bedroom was spacious and comfortable, while the large lobby gave you plenty of room to relax. Breakfast had lots of choice, was well cooked, and there was plenty of it. The staff were efficient, welcoming, and good at their jobs. I’d highly recommend this hotel.
