MAIO B&B en Dinner

The rooms are luxurious, and the service was amazing. Definitely worth it, 100%!

The room was fantastic, and we were greeted so warmly at this lovely B&B. There's a delicious, generous breakfast buffet in the morning, and the location is near the woods with several cycling junctions close by.

The garden view from our lovely room was beautiful, and breakfast had all the trimmings. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's a perfect starting point for a challenging ride using the cycling junctions. Highly recommended!

We booked two rooms for two nights, with breakfast and dinner, because those were advertised on the website. I also emailed to reserve use of the pool. On arrival around 4 p.m., the welcome and atmosphere were already disappointing. We carried our suitcases to the living room, where the hostess had a short chat with us. Her husband was standing in the open kitchen and was barely approachable. Despite our email reservation, we were told we couldn't use the pool because other guests were using it. When I showed the email, the man lost his temper, reproached us, and snapped that he wouldn't serve dinner for "people like that." He basically showed us the door. We had to find another restaurant that evening. We stayed one more night, then left the next day without breakfast. Our rooms were next to the dining room and open kitchen. In the morning, a group celebrating a birthday sang around the table, so much for a quiet stay. The smell of food reached the bedroom, too. The rooms were unpleasant, with windows set so high we couldn't see outside. Both bathrooms had dirty toilet seat undersides, the towels were worn and hanging on hooks, and the rain shower was coated in limescale. There was dust and dirt under the bed. An empty minibar sat in the way on the table, and a dirty, worn men's shirt, presumably left by a previous guest, was in the wardrobe. Booking.com refunded us for one night. Avoid this place. These two upstart Limburgers act as if they're superior to their guests!
