B&B DeSo

The bed was spacious and really comfortable, and we were welcomed kindly. Still, for what we paid, I expected more. The accommodation's finish felt below par: a damp mark on the wall, badly laid laminate upstairs, and a shelf in front of the TV hanging halfway out of the wall. There was hardly any soap or other toiletries. Tea was provided, but just two individual bags in an oversized tea box. We weren't invited to use the shared spaces. Breakfast was delivered to our room and put on a table that was much too small. I would have preferred to eat outside, and the breakfast also came with a lot of disposable packaging. The location is decent, although the traffic on the main road is audible. This B&B still needs work. At the moment I wouldn't recommend it, as it came across more like a side business than a real passion for the profession. I mean that constructively, and the welcome we received was certainly kind.

The breakfast was superb, and the staff greeted us warmly and treated us kindly. The accommodation itself was adequate, though the finish could use attention: there was a large damp patch above the bed, and a strong, unpleasant sewage leak. For the standard, it felt a little expensive. It just needs some more work.

Set in Polygon Woods and not far from Tyne Cot Cemetery, this is a lovely B&B. The hostess was friendly, breakfast was generous, and the bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable too.

We had our own little cottage, and the welcome was super friendly. It was great fun for the kids, with Bellewaerde and Nonnenbos nearby.
