Villa Bela

We had a great three-night get-together with friends. The villa is a good deal for the price, with new, clean rooms and a lovely view from the terraces. It’s also an easy walk to the beach, with two nice restaurants and a grocery store right beside it. The kitchen has everything you need, including little glasses and utensils, and there’s a great big grill too.

A really bitter experience. We were charged extra for rubbish even though we’d gathered it in bags we bought ourselves, and there were no bins at the accommodation. We also pointed out furniture that was already broken when we arrived, but the owner denied it at checkout and asked us for more money. The jacuzzi didn’t exist, and the pool was supposedly heated but wasn’t working. We’d paid extra for both as accommodation benefits. We were also asked for a deposit that hadn’t been mentioned beforehand, and it wasn’t returned, with the owner giving various excuses. There are two neighboring places belonging to this gentleman, Villa Mak and Villa Bella. Both provide very few consumables: one roll of toilet paper, no soap in the bathroom, and none of the other basics you’d expect. We were charged for more toilet paper when we asked, and also for bed linen, even though the rooms have sofa beds and the owner knew how many people were coming. Linen isn’t included in the price. There are no radiators, and the air conditioners don’t heat, despite being told otherwise. We got cold and left sick. I wouldn’t recommend this, even if it were the last place on the planet.

We paid extra for the pool and jacuzzi, but there was no jacuzzi and the pool didn’t work. The owner said he hadn’t repaired it, and naturally we didn’t get the money back. He also asked us to pay for things like toilet paper, bed linen and rubbish. We’d neatly collected the rubbish in cleaning bags we bought ourselves, since he’d given us only three and there were no bins in the yard. I stayed here with friends, and the owner was very difficult to deal with. Communication was poor, and he demanded a €120 advance that hadn’t been specified. In the end he kept all of it for the items listed above. I was disgusted by his greed. If you want a place to have fun, this isn’t it. I don’t recommend this gentleman Andrean’s villas.

A big NOOO. What they promise during negotiations doesn’t match what you find at the accommodation, and they don’t stick to the contract terms. They asked for an unmentioned deposit and then wouldn’t refund it at checkout, coming up with extra costs that had never been disclosed.
