The food was decent, and the prices were average, the cheapest among the places we visited in Bansko. My missing star is down to a few things: it was cold when we arrived because the fire hadn’t been lit, there was music, and the bathroom had no napkins. Still, a nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay, with a friendly host and tasty food that was affordable. It’s in a quieter, cheaper part of Bansko. The ski lift is a little far, but you can get there by cheap taxi or a 20-minute walk.

They claim the tables are all cleaned and disinfected, but there wasn’t any soap in the bathroom when I went to wash my hands. A coffee in a cheap plastic cup cost 2.40 BGN, which seemed a bit much. It wasn’t a great experience, and I won’t be going back.

My first taste of Bulgarian cuisine was the vegetarian dish, and it was spectacular. Bean soup with peppers and tomato sauce sounds dull, but it really wasn’t.

A quarter of an hour’s walk to the gondola lift. The place is lovely and cozy, the hospitality was very good, and the owner George speaks Greek too.
