Balneo & SPA Hotel Aura

We stayed at hotel Aura for my birthday and, honestly, it was great. We had room A2. When I went into the room I noticed this, but it wasn’t really bad. There was some construction stuff outside, though maybe they’re going to remodel. That’s all.

The pools are small and not crowded, and the place looks nice, calm, and clean. Outside, it has a Greek style with statues, chairs, and colors. The staff were busy but pleasant. If you’re not staying at the hotel, pool access costs 20lv, which seems OK, though the fee should vary depending on how long you want to use them. The restaurant had almost no visitors in the afternoon.

The food in the kitchen was wonderful and really tasty. Our room was good, though the beds were soft mattresses and there was no double bed, just two singles. The bathrooms weren’t luxurious, but they were clean. The spa center is very nice, with a stone steam sauna, wood sauna, salt sauna room, herbal room, and different kinds of massages. I tried the honey massage and it was lovely for the skin, which felt soft as silk afterward. There are two small pools with very hot water, at 36 and 38 degrees. The large swimming pool is a nice temperature, neither cold nor hot, so you can swim in it. The deepest part is listed as 1.8m, but I think it may be a bit deeper since the water went over my head, perhaps around 2m. Parking is limited, but you can also stop on the street. It’s a very good hotel for a weekend or a long weekend.

We spent a few days of our summer holiday at Aura hotel in Velingrad. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed trying the spa treatments. There’s one large pool and a few smaller ones, all filled with mineral water. It’s a lovely hotel, highly recommended.
