Park Hotel Olymp

The rooms are nice, and the cleaning staff were lovely and gave us great service, but the spa area is small and poor for the price. By the pool there are no loungers, just tiny, uncomfortable metal chairs. You basically get the mineral pool and sauna. The dry sauna benches were a bit bent, and you’re not allowed to pour water on them. The steam bath closes at 6pm, and the gap of about 3cm between the door and wall means steam gathers at the ceiling, so sitting down you don’t get any. There are two domestic-use infrared sauna cabins, but they were barely ever on. On our last day the regular sauna was switched off at 6pm while I was relaxing, and they tried to get us out of the pool at 19:40 even though it closes at 20. Not a huge deal, but come on. For some reason we were the only ones without disposable slippers. The price is really high for what you get. 😅😂

The room was spacious, great, and very clean, though I think some things were missed in the renovation. The salt sauna costs extra. They could offer more food choices for both breakfast and dinner, especially when the hotel is crowded.

The pool is a decent size, but the outdoor one was closed during our stay and we weren’t told when booking. The room layout and size were fine, and the food was good, though the breakfast coffee was undrinkable and the vending machine quality was poor. At this price, I’d expect a bottle of water and complimentary coffee in the room, instead of capsules costing over 3lv. The room door has no inside lock, so you’re relying on the electronic lock, and the bathroom door has no lock either. The gym looked about 30 years old, was badly maintained, and had equipment out of order. WiFi was slow and I had to connect to it. For 330lv a night, there are better hotels in town with better locations. Compared with the many other places here, I’d put this one near the bottom. 3 out of 10, not impressed.

The rooms were larger than usual, and the spa was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and polite, the restaurant had a nice view, and the food was delicious. It exceeded what I expected.
