The room felt more like a home than a hotel, with lots of space, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, and a separate bedroom. It was brand new and laid out really well, with comfort and privacy. Krasi and Kiro made a big difference to our stay. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, and made us feel welcome throughout. Their service is the main reason we’d choose Amira Boutique Hotel Bansko again. The restaurant deserves a mention too: breakfast and dinner were exceptional, with great flavors and high-quality dishes. The hotel has beautiful spaces and a warm, elegant feel, with luxury and comfort together. The spa had several options and was quite good, though it could be better. A staff member supervising the area would help. During our visit, many small children were shouting and throwing toys into the jacuzzi, which got in the way of relaxing.

The bathroom smelled strongly and unpleasantly from the pipes, so we couldn’t leave its door open. The shower design also sent water across the whole bathroom floor. There were serious cracks in the walls, and the property felt like it needed refurbishment. For the same price, there are much better hotels nearby, so I wouldn’t stay here again. The lift needs maintenance too. Its doors don’t open properly, and you have to push them to get out, which felt neither safe nor convenient. Reception staff weren’t as friendly as you’d expect at a 5-star hotel. The spa needs attention as well, and the jacuzzi wasn’t as clean as it should have been. It definitely didn’t feel like a 5-star experience, despite the hotel rating itself that way.

The rooms are quite large and have a little kitchen, and the breakfasts are good. The ski room is rather small and not warm enough. Cleaning only means changing the towels and making the bed. The gondola transport doesn’t run as they show at the front desk, so you’ll have to walk.
