Hot Springs Medical and Spa Hotel

We come here every December, so this wasn't our first stay. The location is perfect, and we especially like the pools, wellness center, and spa. This year we also visited kinds republic with our 3-year-old daughter and enjoyed it. What let the stay down was the staff. They seemed unhappy and disappointed, especially the girl at the lobby bar. People were unfriendly and unskilled, with no smiles or even a hello, good morning, or good evening. That's why I'm giving four stars. We'll be back next year, and I hope we'll be welcomed by kind, smiling staff.

The spa is spacious, clean, and well laid out. I loved being able to swim from the indoor pool straight outside, then relax in the warm mineral water while looking at the snow-covered mountains. That view alone makes me want to return. We booked breakfast and dinner. The food wasn't exactly to my taste, but it's the best I've had in a Bulgarian hotel. We stayed in a cottage for six, with comfortable beds, good-quality linens, bathrobes, and separate towels for the spa. Hot Springs Medical & Spa Hotel is a pleasant exception to the quick wear and tear I've seen in other hotels. It's not new, yet it's in excellent shape, clean and well maintained, without visible damage or worn areas. The management and team clearly take good care of it.

Kids have an amazing time here, and the indoor pool connects directly to the outdoor one, which is pretty rare. The staff are very polite, helpful, and provide excellent service. Everything is very, very clean. Electronic cigarettes aren't allowed inside.

The rooms are really nice, though the mattresses are soft enough to bother some people. The food and internet are both good, and there's a big spa. A really good place to stay.
