Spa Hotel Aspa Vila

The room was filthy. Walking in socks turned them gray, and crumbs made it uncomfortable to walk around. There was dust everywhere, and the restaurant light over our table kept flickering. The staff seemed very unprofessional, with no greeting or explanation of where our room was, when food was being served, or where to find the spa. Meals were terrible and lacking in variety. If you came late for breakfast or dinner, the food was cold and many dishes were gone. The desserts tasted cheap.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and kept asking if we needed anything. The food was actually good, though it bothered me that we had to pay 16lev for three glass Coke bottles and one bottle of water. There was no water dispenser available during dinner, and guests aren't allowed to bring their own food or drinks onto the hotel grounds, so there wasn't another option to buy it. My main problem was the lack of hygiene and upkeep. Everything felt old and unmaintained, or cheap and due for replacement. The owner also owns the hotel across the street, “Terme,” and it was obvious to me that he doesn't care about this one. I'd give it one star, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The kids' playground smelled so bad that our child refused to use it, and there weren't suitable conditions for children. Everything felt old and dirty. In the evening, a disco and pool party at the hotel across the street kept everyone awake. Terrible.

The people working there were nice, and the place was clean. There's also a quiet forest behind the hotel for walks. It's okay for a work trip, but I wouldn't recommend it for a vacation. The food was plentiful but cheap, and my wife had an upset stomach after eating soup. The restaurant coffee was terrible, and the desserts were cheap. The interior felt cheap too. The walls were thin enough that we could hear the neighbors. The outdoor pool bar had nobody serving drinks, the water wasn't hot enough, maybe 30 C, and the bathrobes were very thin. The salt room also cost extra.
