Motel West

We booked on the day we arrived, and the receptionist was very kind, even staying up for our late arrival. The rooms were clean and roomy. Breakfast was the weak point, a little sparse, but we had a really good stay overall.

We spent four days here. It’s a cozy motel, and I appreciated that the parking gate is locked at night for residents’ safety. They gave us a key to the gate, too. I’d stay again!

There was noise from people coming and going, and the neighbors’ bathroom was right beside the bed, so you could hear it. The old pillows were much too high, and the mattress springs made some sleeping positions really uncomfortable.

The rooms are okay if you’re just passing through on the way to Greece, but the motel sits in an industrial area. Reception is Bulgarian only, and breakfast, if you choose it, is very poor and not a buffet. I found the town old and poor, and the few terraces had low-quality food. I’d avoid it.
