Scape Royal Beach Chernomorets

The rooms were terrible and the food awful. The restaurant felt like a South American prison, with tables set up for 30 people but at least 50 packed in. There were constant queues and families with roaring babies everywhere, and people seemed to be showing their worst sides. By the second day, I was motivated to work harder so I wouldn't have to return to this hotel next year.

The food wasn't bad, but getting it meant waiting in a long queue, and the restaurant had too few tables and no air conditioning. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, no hot water, and nowhere to park. Service was terrible, and they didn't even have a card payment device at the hotel. One of the worst hotels I've stayed in.

It's quiet and relaxing, the rooms are spacious and fresh, and they were cleaned every day. The food was good, especially the well-cooked tomatoes, eggplants and peppers. The beach is clean, with a shallow stretch that's great for kids, and it's less than 50 m away. Reception is open around the clock. A room advertised with a sea view might only have a few centimeters of blue water visible from the side. You can't get water outside the restaurant, even at the reception, so you have to plan ahead if you might be thirsty in the evening. During our stay, there were sewerage problems after a storm, and for a time we had no water or way to wash. The food selection could also be more varied.

It's an okay place, but the problems are in the details. The Wi-Fi was awful and only worked in the lobby, and the elevator wasn't working. The rooms felt plain, with very old furniture. I wouldn't recommend it.
