TRS Apartments

For me, air conditioning and a refrigerator are essential. I also appreciate roller blinds, a kitchenette, spacious rooms, and a veranda. There were some good points, but I wouldn’t return, and I especially wouldn’t recommend it to families with small children. Getting there is difficult for anyone with limited mobility or a stroller. The listing says it’s 400 m from the Center and Old Town of Sozopol, but the route has steep slopes and narrow or missing sidewalks. Parking was unclear too. There are no reserved spaces for the apartments, and although the ad mentions paid parking on site, guests are told to park wherever they can find a spot. When we arrived, one of my older children started counting the spiders on the ceilings and walls. Thankfully, they weren’t poisonous species, but it still didn’t make a good impression on us adults. On the second day, we discovered someone had entered our apartment and touched our belongings and clothes. We contacted the host right away. She said she’d come in to mop the floor and fold the sofa so it wouldn’t bother us, since we weren’t using it. We were told we should have asked her not to enter, but there was no mention of this service in the ad, no separate information sheet with the apartment rules or services, and no “do not disturb” or “please clean” sign. We had no reason to think we needed to call and tell them not to enter. One reason I chose an apartment instead of a hotel at this price was the expectation that no one would enter our room. When we checked in, I carefully cleaned and disinfected the surfaces using products suitable for them and for my children’s ages. During an epidemic, I find it unacceptable for someone to touch our belongings, clothes, and bedding, then leave me to spend more of my vacation disinfecting everything again. I accept I may be stricter than some people about disinfection, but that’s my right when I’m responsible for young children and elderly people. What happened can’t be undone. I won’t comment on the apology we received, other than to quote it: “Sorry! Although I don't know what exactly I should apologize for!” After I posted this review on the booking page, nobody contacted us to talk it through. Instead of an apology, we got personal attacks and made up accusations that had nothing to do with my family. The apartment was acceptable in some ways, but the staff and management’s attitude was disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again. Maybe management is happy about that, since they clearly aren’t trying to get repeat customers.
