Khan Staria Dobrich Family Hotel

I’ve been staying here since 2015, and the location is great. It’s a family hotel, so I’ll probably come again, but I hope they renovate it by then. It’s very old, please take care of it.

A traditional restaurant and the central area are right outside, though major, intrusive maintenance work currently makes walking around there difficult. The hotel sits in Dobrich’s historic quarter among old local houses preserved as reminders of the city before communism and its distinctive architecture. It’s quaint and charming, well maintained and unusual, but its location and layout mean the amenities aren’t especially luxurious. There’s no minibar in the room, which wasn’t a problem for me. A good hotel overall, though pets aren’t allowed.

We liked the complex’s old-fashioned style, and the hosts were polite. It’s centrally located in Dobrich, has parking and a restaurant as part of the complex, and the rooms were clean. In the apartment, there are no doors separating the rooms, and the bathroom has no dedicated shower area, such as a cabin or curtain. The children’s beds were very hard. I recommend it, with a few small reservations.

A pleasant hotel, with decent rooms and lovely service.
