Apartments Kavarna Hills Complex

The beach is a five-minute walk away, and there are two very nice pools on site. We also recommend the nearby restaurant Bulgarka. The apartment had big, comfortable beds and plenty of linens, and the kitchen was adequately equipped, though the pans were so old we had to buy one to use. The washing machine didn’t work, and the only AC was in the living room.

We were very unhappy that the staff told us the pool was open when we called, but on arrival, June 17, it was closed. They said it would open the next day, and it didn't. That lie is why I’m giving three stars. The town looked abandoned, and the beach seemed small and crowded. You can’t pay by credit card, and the owner doesn’t speak English. There were good things too: they let us check out late, it’s pet friendly and we had a small dog. The apartment was huge, with a secure parking spot, kitchen utilities and a nice little balcony with a view. There’s plenty of nature and a pool for kids. At about $50 a night, it was very good value, despite the pool issue.

The apartments are spacious, and the maintainers were kind and always willing to help. We had a nice time. The location is good, though a bit far from the beach; the two pools in the complex help with that. At first we had no dishes or even a way to sweep the floor.

The apartment was filthy, the worst accommodation I’ve ever had. The bathroom was disgusting, the floors were dirty, the kitchen sink was clogged and there wasn’t enough toilet paper. The pillow covers were yellow and looked like they hadn’t been changed in a while, so we had to cover them with our own towels to sleep. The balcony view, apartment size and underground parking were the only upsides. With proper cleaning, the place could be okay. As it was, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
