Vesta Hotel Kazanluk

I liked this small town, and it suited me well. The hotel was easy to find and worked well for travelling by bicycle. I paid 40 Liv for my stay.

The staff were really friendly, and the place was very clean. A great stay.

Friendly service and a very clean place.

The bathroom was the best part of the room, though the shower area may be awkward for anyone over 180 cm tall. It was clean, the towels were changed, and the bed was made for the next day. There’s also a small terrace and parking for hotel guests, but no breakfast. At 45 BGN, I didn’t think the price was justified. The outside gives a misleading impression. A pleasant, smiling, kind woman of retirement age was at reception, which was a good start. But the broken steps felt like a warning, and the room had that layered, familiar smell of smoke. The furniture, including a “Prista, person and a half” bed and a similar wardrobe, was very worn and long overdue for replacement. Someone had tried to fasten the chest of drawers to the bed with nails, and the “Do it yourself” approach showed on the cornices too. Aesthetics don’t seem to be a priority here.
