Therma Palace - Hotel & SPA

My wife and I joined our daughter while she was at a skating camp, and we loved our stay. This is mainly a sports training camp and hotel, with plenty of nature around too. The beaches are calm and clear, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and they try hard to make the stay enjoyable. There was lots of food variety and we liked the meals. There are two hotels here: Therma Palace and Therma Village. The Village is larger and more modern, and makes more sense if you want to stay with the kids. Therma Palace is quieter for parents looking for some time away from them. The Palace has an old Hollywood boutique look, almost like it’s frozen in time. Both places have lovely mineral pools. Irena at the Palace front desk was amazing and seemed to know everything. Don’t expect American standards. Things in Bulgaria are hard to compare, and people are very direct, which is a different culture. We’ll return as soon as we can find the time.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the spa stay was perfect. We’ll choose this place for our next holiday too!

Every day for the past three days, a hotel employee has been cutting the grass with a motor scythe. Between the smoke and the awful noise, it feels like being at a construction site. They should use an electric trimmer.

From check-in right through checkout, the whole five-day break was an experience I could write a book about. The evacuation stairs were repeatedly blocked by baby strollers, and the kitchen and restaurant didn’t seem fit for their purpose or for what was advertised. There was no designated parking, just park wherever you can in front of the hotel door. The pool area didn’t meet a five-star standard either. I don’t think management knows much about health and safety. I could go on for hours and still not cover everything this place needs to live up to its advertised stars.
