Family Hotel Ramira

The restaurant impressed me most. The food feels like real culinary art, carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients, always fresh and never frozen, from carefully chosen local producers. There are unique drinks too, and the lemonade with juniper and chili is a must try. The TEAM was warm, welcoming, and provided extremely good service. Ramira Hotel is right in central Kyustendil, just behind the City Art Gallery with the fountains. I stayed in the top floor apartment, which was modern, very spacious, and had everything I needed. The view of the city center, the mountain, and the Hisarlaka fortress was amazing.

We tried a lot of dishes and even took some to go. Everything ranged from great to fantastic, and there were plenty of daily and weekly specials. The menu is extensive, which usually makes me wary, but they pulled it off. I'd describe the food as modern Bulgarian, and the wine list is great, with lots of natural options. Maybe they could improve the music selection. The staff's English isn't great, but those aren't real complaints, and it adds to the charm. I nearly kept this restaurant hidden, but it's a real gem. Please stay focused on the food instead of changing for the sake of it. Many places chase established formats and forget why they're in the business. Can't wait to go again soon!

We came on a family trip mainly for the restaurant, and after lunch and two dinners, we'd happily return. The food is amazing, especially the eggplant with tahini. They use great ingredients and combine and present them masterfully. Dishes start arriving almost as soon as you order. The servers are young and smiling. Some clearly have more experience than others, but nobody was rude and we never had an order messed up. The hotel itself is nothing special, just decent rooms in a great city location with easy parking. I definitely recommend visiting at least the restaurant.

The large balcony made a lovely spot to see all the stars and the moon. Our beautiful, spacious room felt like home, thanks to the hosts who made us comfortable. We ordered room service, and the food had clearly been thoughtfully prepared and cared for. The hotel's attention to detail and genuine care made us feel special. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a wholesome stay that makes you happy. Hope we get to return.
