The area feels a little remote, with only a few restaurants nearby, and we didn't see any supermarkets. Still, the hosts were friendly and very helpful. The houses have large windows and a lovely setting, and they're made with local materials, especially stone and wood. Downstairs is one open space with a modern kitchen; upstairs are three bedrooms. Keeping the houses warm in winter can be a little difficult.

The villas are spacious and work well for a large group with children or pets. The yard is big, the setting is very quiet, and the snowy scenery was beautiful. The view was amazing, too. But the paths hadn't been cleared, so walking around felt unsafe. Because of the cold, there was no water in the kitchens or in half the rooms, and nobody told us before we arrived. We had to call for more wood and gas to get through the weekend. A great place, but the service let it down.

The owner was kind, easy to reach, and gave us useful tips on restaurants, hiking trails, swimming pools, and other things we needed to know. We felt well looked after, and were really happy with his advice. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of room for our group of five during our nine-night stay. Everything worked, including the washing machine, dishwasher, shower, TV, and grill. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms stayed at a pleasant temperature. Since the houses are in the mountains, it cooled off nicely in the evening, so we didn't need air conditioning. I've seen lots of places in Bulgaria, but nothing quite like this. The place is wonderful, with green grass around three large houses in a quiet area. Our house had French windows, a spacious kitchen, a fireplace, dining area and living area on the first floor. Upstairs were three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The only toilet on the first floor was actually in the basement, which wasn't great, and it was broken in our house. The refrigerator also didn't cool well and needs repair.
