Perelik hotel

We went during a very quiet period, which made the stay even nicer. The bar staff were amazing, always smiling and so friendly, and their service made things feel special. The hotel was very clean, though sometimes a little too warm, and we loved relaxing in the spa. I was wary after reading some of the reviews, but we absolutely loved our stay at Perelik. Already looking forward to coming back.

We stayed for 2 nights from 15.03.26 with breakfast and dinner included. They charged extra for drinks like Coca Cola. I'm Turkish and Muslim, but the only food they had for me was pork. When I complained, they offered pizza. The hotel calls itself 5 star, but I couldn't give it even 1. I've never seen a kitchen this bad in my life. Everyone should avoid it. You can find much better places for cheaper, with better quality. For me, this is the number one worst hotel.

Communication was a huge problem because the restaurant and hotel employees didn't speak a word of English. Nobody said hi or thank you, and they didn't smile. I don't know if that's an Eastern European thing, but the people were so rude and seemed to have no idea what hospitality means. There were other silly things too, like whether water was charged at breakfast or dinner, but I don't want to go into those details. Places like this will ruin the reputation of a nice ski resort.

The free shuttle to ski centre 1&2 ran every 15-30 minutes, and the location was great, with nice restaurants nearby if you don't have dinner included. You can reach Orlovetz hotel, Neptune and Glamour Chalet restaurants, and the vintage bowling alley through underground passages without going outside, which is cool. Our room was clean, well designed, and had an amazing view. Breakfast was mostly the same every day, but there was lots of variety, it never ran out, and staff replaced items that had been sitting out for a while. We found the staff friendly and happy to help. Bulgarians can sound more direct than British ideas of politeness, with pleases and thank yous, but don't be put off by that. The hotel was too hot throughout, though keeping the window open helped. We loved our stay at Perelik and would come again.
