There were only 2 staff in the whole hotel, and the service felt slow and disorganized. The staff seemed overwhelmed and too few to look after the guests. My stay was extremely disappointing. The cake served as dessert at my very first meal had visible spots, smelled unpleasant, and was clearly moldy. That’s unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the hotel’s hygiene. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for good service and safe food. There are plenty of other places with better guest treatment and basic hygiene standards.

The restaurant isn’t open during the day, and in the evening it’s some kind of grill, so don’t really count on it as a restaurant. The rooms are clean, but the furniture is very cheap, and the tiny TV looks ancient. It’s a pretty mediocre hotel, more like a 1 star.

A month later, and after comparing it with a hotel in another similar town in the Kardzhali region, I’m writing this criticism in the hope it helps. I usually only post positive reviews, and when I’m disappointed I tend to skip the rating. This time I’m giving it 1 star. It was a mediocre hotel with a mediocre attitude and service. When I asked about hot water, I was told it was "bad". The restaurant food was inedible, especially for the price of a regular pork steak. And if you’re not one of the "satisfied" customers, they’ll get you worked up with pre-printed leaflets about the hotel’s history, apparently meant to show empathy. I hope this criticism is taken constructively.
