Hotel complex Kamenec - Nesebar

The South Beach is only 5 minutes away on foot, and there’s a bus stop and supermarket literally next door. It’s about as convenient as it gets, even for the laziest tourist. We come back to Hotel Kamenez – Nessebar every year, and it’s become a tradition. It’s our spot as a couple with one little tornado, officially a 4-year-old. We always get what we ask for: a studio on a high floor with a sea view. Romance plus toddler vandalism. The food is much better than we expected from a 3-star hotel, both in taste and variety. Drinks, including the strong ones, are part of the AI package. The pools are great, and the pool bar is pure salvation: cocktail in hand, feet in the water, and for a while you forget tomorrow’s race down the hallway to see who can run faster. Thumbs up 100%! Kamenec balances family chaos with a bit of calm and excellent service.

The location is very good, close to a supermarket, bus stop and beach. The old town and new town center are within walking distance and make for nice walks. There are three very clean, well-kept pools, and usually enough sunbeds for all the hotel guests. It’s a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. The rooms are basic, and cleaning is irregular, sometimes at an inappropriate time, around 14.30 h, for example. Toiletries are provided only if you ask. On the plus side, there’s air conditioning and a balcony. The food is average, and so are the drinks.

The food was awful, with spaghetti sitting in water and chewy meat, and the waitresses were rude. There weren't enough tables either. For a place calling itself all-inclusive, charging extra for cocktails is ridiculous, and the pool shut at 6 pm. In summer heat, they only offered ice cream for one hour. Not worth the money or the trip.

The beach is close by, and the view is the main reason to stay here, though it costs an extra 10 Leva. The hotel itself didn't stand out. Our shower had very little water pressure, the room Wi-Fi was weak, and it wasn't very clean: there were hairs on the sheets, a coffee stain on the curtains, and a dirty carpet. I'd choose somewhere else for more of a hotel experience.
