Sol Luna Bay Resort - All Inclusive

The sand on the beach is lovely, and the staff were very friendly. August was packed, as you'd expect, so mealtimes felt a bit crowded. The package included two meals at separate restaurants, and there was also a smaller venue for lunchtime snacks. Prices were good, and it seems like a good family resort.

The missing perfume was the worst part of our stay. On the second-to-last day, my daughter's perfume disappeared from our room. It was very special to her and appeared in her travel vlogs and photos, which showed that we'd brought it with us. Management still insisted we must have lost it in our luggage and wouldn't take responsibility. When my wife reviewed the issue, the manager gave an equally dismissive answer, saying it couldn't be proven. We expect the same evasive response to this review, but future guests should know how it went: instead of a real investigation, we kept being told the perfume must be in our bags. It felt as if protecting the staff mattered more than caring for guests. That lack of accountability was deeply disappointing, especially for our daughter. We were also surprised on arrival to be put in a studio in an annex, apart from the main hotel, restaurant, and outdoor pools. To get there we crossed an improvised bridge over stagnant water, where we even saw dead fish. That didn't feel like a four-star resort experience. On the first day, the bathtub drain was completely blocked, and shower water collected until maintenance eventually fixed it. The room needed work too, with curtains that wouldn't close properly and a general sense of neglect compared with the advertised standard. As someone who's stayed at many all-inclusive resorts in different countries, I expected more from Sol Luna Bay. The resort offers decent conditions, but nothing remarkable, and prices are above average for what's provided. I'm sharing this to give future guests a realistic picture, not out of spite. Sol Luna Bay might suit some travelers, but those used to quality resorts may find the standards below their expectations.

Everything was outstanding, from the food and location to all the activities nearby. This was the best stay I've ever had on the Black Sea coast. I'm still amazed an experience like this is possible in Bulgaria. Highly recommend!

August 2025 was our fourth holiday in a row at Sol Luna Bay Resort, and the people are the main reason we keep returning. The staff are polite, warm, friendly, and good with languages. They make us feel like we're coming home each summer. My dear friends at Sol Luna Bay, thanks for another wonderful holiday. Until next year! We also really appreciate the hotel's sustainability efforts. Food and drinks are locally produced, supporting regional development, and there are separate collection bins. The beach bars use recyclable cups and straws. A small ecosystem around the river between the main hotel and the apartment annex has also been preserved. The restaurants have a wide selection of good-quality food, including vegan dishes. We especially enjoy the traditional Bulgarian meal, grilled fish, and lasagna at the themed restaurants, and the main restaurant's specialties have always been tasty and high quality. For children who are fussy eaters, there's always cereal and pancakes for breakfast, and pizza and pasta at lunch and dinner. Booking the themed restaurants is easy with a QR Code available around the hotel. The beachside setting is excellent, far enough from the main road into Obzor and the other hotels for some peace and quiet. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well maintained, with improvements over the years such as new AC units and upgraded furniture.
