Hotel Rozhen

The hotel itself needs renovation, but I'm giving it a 5 because Rozhen restaurant is very good. The food is delicious, prepared by an excellent chef, and the service is fast. I recommend the restaurant. Heating and hot water are only available from 5pm to 9pm, which is inconvenient, especially when mornings are below zero.

The hotel is crying out for a major renovation. The rooms are cold, and they only turn on the radiators and hot water from 17:00 to 21:00. In the morning, you wake up with steam coming from your mouth. When we asked about this schedule, they explained it in a rude tone and insulted us for being "pretentious." The restaurant food was good, but there were times when lunch leftovers were served for dinner.

It feels like a place with some social charm, though the hotel is quite old. The cleanliness was bearable, and the habitable rooms are warm, but the other rooms aren't. The restaurant has a huge fireplace that burns at least during active hours. For the money, it's definitely worth it, as long as you remember this is a one-star hotel and don't expect luxury.

The restaurant food was good. We came in summer, so the place was empty apart from our group. The beds were an odd setup, two mattresses joined together, and you felt almost at ground level.
