The host deserves a special mention. We understood each other right away, and he showed me around and told me a lot about Petrich. Petra Hotel is in a convenient spot, near Lidl and about a ten-minute walk from the town center. My stay was really good, and the place was calm and quiet.

The rooms were spacious, and both the room and beds were clean. We booked two rooms, but only one had a refrigerator. There was room to sit around a table with friends. The bathroom was fine, apart from an insect we found in it. During the day we had to park on the street because the hotel parking spaces were being used by the carwash next door. Reception helped us find a place serving cooked food and reserved a table, but it was 800 meters uphill, which wasn’t great when we were hungry. The staff did bring us utensils when we asked.
