We had a relaxing stay beside picturesque Totleben lake, with peaceful lake views and lovely walking trails in Kaylaka Park. Pleven center is only minutes away, about 7 km. Orbita Palace was a great mix of nature, comfort, and value, and we're definitely coming back. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with robes and slippers, satellite TV, a minibar, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. After time outdoors, we could unwind in the heated indoor pool (27 °C), Finnish sauna, steam bath, or fitness center. There's also an outdoor pool for children, plus a summer garden and BBQ area. The restaurant serves tasty Bulgarian and international food. The lobby bar is cozy, and in summer you can have cocktails on the terrace or in the garden. Free guarded parking, a 24-hour front desk, and optional transfers for trips around the park or to Pleven landmarks were nice extras. Great for a romantic getaway, family vacation, or spa break.

It was fine for one night, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. The place is basic and past its prime. Rooms were inexpensive but not very comfortable, and the bathrooms were only as clean as years of use would allow. It gives you the sense that nothing has changed since it was built.

A nice place with a beautiful view and friendly, helpful staff. The Wi-Fi needs work, though. I couldn't connect.

I called two days ahead, only to find out later that the place was closed and not operating!
