The neighborhood is about a 10-minute drive from the centre, though walking takes at least 30-40 minutes. The beds are short, and in summer the kitchen and bedroom get too hot since there’s no AC in either. The host said renovations were planned, but everything feels old. Still, it’s one of the cheaper options, with a kitchen that has a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, stovetop, oven and accessories. There’s Wi-Fi, a TV in every room and AC in the living room. It’s also one of the few places with a regular key and no automatic lights, which can be a problem on Shabbat. Our host Elena was responsive, though she doesn’t speak any English.

The apartment is spacious and in a great destination, but there’s a terrible smell throughout and the old, cluttered furniture makes it feel a little depressing. It needs a major renovation. The hostess was welcoming and responsive, which was the good part.
