The breakfast was okay, but there wasn't enough of it, and the only drink was water from a dispenser. I even found a hair in my soup. The staff were hands down the rudest people I've ever encountered. I was on a school trip with my class, and we stayed quiet as our teachers told us to. Then the teachers were shocked to hear that staff had threatened to call the police and security on us. The woman at reception wasn't fluent in Bulgarian and didn't even speak the language. A girl in the restaurant, who is 16 years old, had the nerve to threaten us, even though that's something the teachers should handle, and they did. We hadn't done anything wrong. Staff made comments about us right in front of us. The shower curtain doesn't keep water in, so there was a huge puddle in front of our sink. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the hotel opened and wouldn't close properly. Cold air was coming into our room, and I think I'm sick. There were mysterious stains on the walls too. DON'T COME HERE.

If all you need is a bed, a working shower, and a clean bathroom, this is the place. It's just a couple of blocks from the old town.

As we were leaving the building, someone dumped a bucket of water on us from a window. We were soaked and got sick.

The rooms are nice and clean, the service is friendly and helpful, breakfast is nice and average, and the price is reasonable. It's between the railway and bus station and the old city. The main problem is the busy road right beside it. You hear cars, bikes, and buses all night, and the rooms aren't soundproofed, so it can feel like sleeping on the street. Some beds are in bad shape and have lost their shape; one was tilted or sinking in. Try to avoid a roadside room, and ask for a new bed if you're offered room 53.

It's a simple, clean hotel without anything fancy, and the staff are very friendly and ready to help. My single room had everything I needed. Breakfast wasn't impressive, though: you have to choose one set menu or another, with no flexibility to change anything. I also don't think the price matches what's offered, so we only ate breakfast there once.
