Residence City Garden

The room felt unusually calm and personal, with high ceilings, lovely textures and custom furniture instead of the usual hotel look. It was spacious, spotless and had a comfortable bed. The marble and fixtures in the bathroom were beautifully finished, and the elegant modern design matched the photos. Residence City Garden is right by Tsar Simeon Garden and the Singing Fountains, so it’s peaceful while still very central. Staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast had good variety and quality, with a choice of plates plus breads, croissants and fruit at the buffet. There’s indoor parking on level -2, or reserved spaces outside by the park entrance. We had a wonderful stay. 4.8/5 for a hotel.

The menu has fresh, high quality ingredients across its salads, starters, main courses and desserts, and the food is prepared with care for how it looks as well as how it tastes. Inside, the wood, stone and other natural materials sit nicely together. Paintings by famous artists, sculptures and a white grand piano give the room a distinctive, sophisticated feel. It’s a lovely place for a long evening with good company. This review is just about NOBEL by Chef Shishkov, the hotel’s boutique restaurant. Dress elegantly and visit it in the park of Plovdiv.

We were in a deluxe double on the 3rd floor, a comfortable size and warm and welcoming even with 3ºC outside. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The valet service was top notch, the bed was comfortable, and the thick towels, luxury bath products, cozy robes and above average cleanliness all stood out. We spent four incredible nights here. They gave us a 10% voucher for the restaurant, which has beautiful decor and a relaxed, super chill feel. It’s a pleasant place to unwind, with an amazing selective menu. This is a classy boutique hotel, and it made our visit to Plovdiv great. Highly recommended for a future trip.

We had a really enjoyable couple of nights in the huge top floor studio apartment, after getting lucky with a room upgrade. The long wraparound balcony was comfortable to spend time on. Staff were friendly and helped us figure out the underground parking, and dinner at the restaurant on our first night was delicious. We had no problem finishing all three courses. The hotel is opposite the park and singing fountains, with the main sights all within walking distance. Breakfast was less impressive: the setup seemed to change, with a buffet on another floor one morning and cooked options to preorder alongside a small buffet the next. Neither was particularly good quality, and we had to ask for tea or coffee instead of being offered it.
