Hotel Primorsko Del Sol

I had a really good stay, and I don’t get the low ratings or the complaints I’ve seen. At the bar, my drinks usually came with a smile, and the receptionists and room service were nice to me too. I didn’t run into the staff problems people describe. The bar staff knew enough English to get my order right, and reception spoke it decently. Room service didn’t, but there wasn’t much to say anyway, just leave a hanger asking them to clean or not clean the room. Our room was clean when we arrived and stayed that way. The sea is about five minutes away, and the hotel has its own beach section with reserved seats and umbrellas, which was a nice extra. The food was great. Someone said it was the same every day, and yes, it’s a buffet, with just about everything there. I don’t know what else they could add.

The pool area is really nice, and the hotel is in what I think is the most appealing part of Primorsko. But the staff speak very little English, so even ordering a Coke became a hassle. The food was a letdown, with very little variety. Our room was only average for cleanliness, and the sheets never got changed during our week there.

People seem to come and go from all over, and the pool is more or less okay, though one of the water ladders is broken. The toilets smell of urine. If you visit friends without a hotel bracelet, they chase you off like a dog. Staff who speak Bulgarian or English seem to know only “hello” and “hi.” For a hotel with this many stars, I wouldn’t give it a penny.

If I could, I’d give it half a star. Don’t be taken in by the nice rooms or the photos. The hotel has a lot of downsides. Breakfast is the only decent meal; dinner is another story, with cold food. It also looks like it was built in 2015 and hasn’t been renovated since. I wouldn’t recommend it.
