Interrum Hotel

We were satisfied with our stay. Even in below-zero temperatures, we didn’t need to cover ourselves at all, so I’d especially recommend this place in winter.

It’s a small hotel in the city center, with shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are a little worn, but perfectly fine for one night, and the price is reasonable. There’s a refrigerator in the room, and the air conditioning works, though you have to ask reception for the remote. The staff don’t speak much English, and the hotel parking lot isn’t locked.

If you’re looking for a simple overnight stay and don’t expect much, this is great value for money. The rooms were clean, and the location is excellent, directly opposite Billa Market. The reception staff speak Turkish.

That whole place is disgusting. There was ash over everything, and I had to wipe it off before I could sit down. At least the stool was leather. The bathroom was entirely moldy, the limescale on the taps and tiles looked years old, and the grout was BLACK. Roaches were my roommates, and it smelled like a sewer. Don’t even try brushing your teeth with the water. The air conditioner cooled things down a little, enough that after 7-8 hours it no longer felt like an oven, but its filters haven’t been cleaned for years. I’d rather put up with the heat than breathe that air. Most of the “guests” were Ukrainians, screaming and clattering around. The smell of tripe hit as soon as you walked in and seemed soaked into everything. The towels had clearly been washed with detergent that smelled like grilled mackerel. I travel a lot, from neglected chalets to multi-star hotels, and I’m not writing this out of pretentiousness. 99.9 percent of my reviews are positive, but this time I couldn’t hold back. It’s desperate and disgusting. Don’t stay here unless you’re stranded in the middle of the night and every room in the city is taken.
