Park Hotel Raya Garden

That cigarette smell hits as soon as you walk in. The rooms cost too much for what you get: no wardrobe, no proper shower, and the air conditioning isn't very good. We've had better rooms with everything included at seaside places for the same price. I only stayed because of earlier commitments, and I'd make the same choice not to return if I could.

The staff were kind and attentive, and the location is beautiful. I stayed in two rooms, so I could compare them, but they were much the same. Both bathrooms were tiny, with no bathtub or shower cubicle. You shower between the toilet and the door in one, and right over the toilet in the other, so water splashed everywhere. There was no wardrobe, and the room or hallway smelled bad. Even with 30-degree weather, there wasn't a fridge or minibar to keep water cold. Breakfast was very basic, with cheap bratwurst, bland scrambled eggs and bacon that seemed more boiled than fried. The edited photos look stretched or widened, which makes the rooms seem more spacious than they are.

The view and location are great, and the room was okay, nothing special. Breakfast, though, was really bad. It was the cheapest hotel breakfast we've had in quite a while.

The food was really tasty, and they have a fast charging station for EVs!
