We only managed one night, but we're definitely coming back. Even arriving at 23:30, very late in the season, we were welcomed warmly. The bungalows were clean and had a fantastic view. They're simple, nowhere near luxurious, which was just what we wanted, and we were really happy with our stay.

A traditional hut with a great feel and really good value. We had a fantastic stay, just don't come expecting luxury. It's about an hour from Rila lakes.

I called the number listed online at 20:55 to ask whether any bungalows were available. A grumpy woman barked, “I don't talk at night!” Well, ma'am, I won't be talking to you again either. I'm sure there are more polite people around Rila Monastery. And no, K19 isn't to blame for your crisis. That's on you! P.S. I gave one star because the form wouldn't let me leave zero or minus one. I'd actually give minus five.
