We arrived at 21:00 with our six-month-old baby, and the whole stay went badly. The reception was dark and unwelcoming, and the man there spoke only Bulgarian, which made it very hard to communicate. Our room was filthy and neglected. The two towels, one medium and one small, were stained and dirty, the floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the mirrors and furniture were broken. The curtains were torn and stained too. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold, hair, and rust, and everything creaked. We didn’t dare touch anything. The air conditioning barely worked, and it was cooler outside than in the room. Three flies were buzzing around as if they’d been there for days. We were charged 30 € and given no receipt. This isn’t about luxury, just basic cleanliness, safety, and respect, especially when you’re traveling with a baby. It wasn’t worth the money or even a minute of our time. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel, even for one night.

The staff were super friendly, but the room was a letdown. The sheets didn’t fit the bed, there was a cigarette smell in the bedroom, and the shower was broken. We’ll look harder for somewhere better next time.

The rooms weren’t cleaned, the air conditioning seemed to be there for show, and there was mold on the walls. The furniture was falling apart. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

It’s about a brisk ten-minute walk from the train station. This must have been a fantastic hotel back in the 1980s, but now it feels neglected and tired. Even Bulgarians seem to grumble and complain about the place on Google.

The hosts were friendly, the breakfast decent, and the short-stay rooms excellent. It’s easy to find and close to the train station, but the open showers were dirty and unpleasant.
