The spa was a good part of the stay. The pool was an adequate 29 degrees, the sauna was good though small, and the changing room lockers were old, with some that wouldn't lock. Breakfast had a wide range of hot food, cheese, meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice. The selection was good early on, but by 9:30 it had dwindled and nothing was being replenished. The hotel is nicely set a little away from the main area, and the reception and restaurant public spaces were well maintained. The staff we met were friendly and welcoming. Our room was large, clean and warm, with good storage, a decent sized fridge, good heating and dark curtains. But it badly needs renovation: sections of skirting were missing, the kitchen had hardly anything in it, and although there was a hot plate, there was nothing to use on it. The bed was hard, the bottom sheet twisted around when we moved, and the pillows were nearly flat. The clean bathroom had an old shower head with peeling paint. Bath water came up through the drain in the middle of the floor, and the shower curtain had brown shower gel stains along the bottom. Soap and shower gel were supplied. There was a small TV, which we didn't use. The walls were thin, so we could hear people in their rooms, and corridor footsteps were noisy. Wi-Fi in the room was very slow, so we did better using mobile data.

The rooms are a decent size, but the furniture and toilets look like they're from the 1980s and badly need renovating. The pillows are small, the shampoo is ugly, and the doors have no safety or insulation. The food selection, quality, variety and presentation were terrible. The whole place is run down, nowhere near four stars, or even two.

The sauna and pool are nice, and the staff are great and polite. But our fridge was broken and the bathtub leaked, leaving water all over the bathroom. The Wi-Fi password they gave us didn't match the access point, so I had to use a neighbouring room's Wi-Fi.

There is a club in the hotel basement, and the music keeps blasting until 6 a.m. I couldn't sleep. When I went to reception, they just said it wouldn't stop before 6, and offered no help. My room also hadn't been cleaned properly, and about half the in-room amenities were broken, including the fridge, shower holder and lights. For the money, this hotel is nowhere near worth it. Do not stay here.
