The food was the standout for me, fresh every day and the best hotel food I've had anywhere. The rooms, restaurant and relaxation area were all kept to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a free bus to the ski slopes and back, plus somewhere to leave your skis. The lobby has a lovely log fire too. Highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely return.

The pool attendant really spoiled the relaxing part of our stay. In the few minutes we were there, around six in all, he spent most of the time scolding guests for no real reason in an aggressive, unfriendly way, even speaking like that to children. When I was already dealing with a small mishap involving my child, he threatened to report me to reception instead of handling it calmly and professionally. Everyone at the pool was talking about how rude he was. It’s a shame, because the pool should be somewhere to unwind, not feel stressed. The hotel itself was clean and pleasant, and everything else met our expectations. Management should look into what’s happening there.

The rooms got too hot, and there was no way to switch off the heating. Apart from that, I had a great six-night stay in early March. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive to details, and there’s a spa with a pool and sauna, along with a free shuttle to the slopes. The food was really good, with different selections and a new dinner theme each evening. I tried some interesting dishes with a classy, modern touch, and I think the chef is young. If I come to Borovets again, I’ll stay here.
