The room had a useful kitchenette, and the shower pressure was good. The location worked well too, near the center and directly across from the local farmers market. Noise was the big problem. The air conditioner sounded like an airplane, so we chose a cold room to get some quiet, but the street was still loud. The bathroom lights and ventilation ran off a motion sensor. I've never had to keep waving my hands while using the toilet just to keep them on. Whoever designed that must have a pretty diabolical sense of humor.

The underground parking was a real plus, and the bathroom looked almost like one in a top hotel. For the price, the rooms were spacious, clean, and decent. The first sentence says it all about this hotel.

Sandanski itself isn't especially charming, but that's not the hotel's fault. The staff made us feel very welcome. The place was lovely and really clean, and the air conditioning was powerful, which was great in this weather.

We got a great impression of the place. It's close to the market and the lively city center, yet quiet at night. The bed was super comfortable, everything was new, and it was extremely clean. I'd asked for a balcony in the booking, but other guests extended their stay in the room we had reserved. The owner kindly moved us to a different room with a kitchenette and a huge terrace overlooking the city, with no extra charge.

We paid just 25 EUR per room per night, including secured underground parking, so it was incredibly inexpensive. It was a surprisingly good place to stay and could have been perfect, except the sound insulation between rooms was poor. You'd have to be incredibly tired to tune out the noise from next door 😁
