We spent six hours at Cityhome Aparthotel, Sofia, which was just long enough to try the “amenities.” There was no free parking, and at 4 a.m. a stranger’s car blocked our exit. We also found a mysterious towel on the wardrobe and a bedspread with perfectly timed holes. Clean sheets saved the night, but that was about it. 😅 Maybe it works for a super quick overnight adventure!

The view wasn’t much to look at, though I didn’t expect much given the hotel’s in Sofia. Rooms are good and clean, with comfortable beds. The apartments have mini kitchens with pots, pans, a cutting board and other accessories. Service was great, and the price reasonable. The Metro station is relatively near, but it’s quite a walk. 4/5

The only good thing was the staff. The website pictures look like they were taken around 20th years ago, and the place looks really bad now. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re planning a trip to Sofia, avoid it and don’t trust those pictures.

The bus to the mall and metro station makes the location convenient, and the staff were polite most of the time. But the room was in careless condition: dirty walls, curtains with a third of them unhanged, and no night lamps. The double bed was actually two single beds pushed together, which I think was expected. There was no door on the bathroom cabin, so shower water went everywhere. Would NOT recommend.

The apartment was cosy and close to the park, and the staff were very kind. You can cook lighter meals there. The sleeping couch is firm, though still comfortable.
