The newer bathrooms were a plus, and for what we paid the place wasn't bad. We had two rooms: the first was okay, but the one under the roof had old furniture. The woman in charge, or perhaps the owner, was nice, though she had what I thought were typical Bulgarian manners. Maybe she'd been misled before and that's why she was so guarded. In the end, the place was sort of nice.

This works for big groups, with several bedrooms that each have their own bathroom, and you can book the whole house. The large shared room has a kitchen and is good for getting together. There are air conditioners, balconies and a barbecue, plus a nearby store. The prices are decent. It's at the edge of town, which makes it peaceful, though it isn't really secluded. You can't play loud music because neighbors complain and may call the police, so this isn't a place for parties. The lady who runs the house is fairly nice, but she sometimes turns up in the rooms or common area without being invited. I'd somewhat recommend it.

The shower wouldn't drain properly, and the walls between rooms are so thin that plumbing noise from another room sounds like a nearby volcano erupting. The owner also wouldn't let us use the air conditioning, despite it being listed as a room feature on booking dot com. I should have paid attention to the latest reviews. One of the worst stays of our trip through Bulgaria. Avoid it.

The house is in such poor shape that it looks close to falling apart, and things seem to be deteriorating from lack of maintenance. The old lady was extremely unpleasant and kept hanging around. I felt she was waiting for something to break during our stay so she could charge us for it, and that she was scamming guests to get money for renovations. I strongly don't recommend this place and definitely won't return.
