Holiday Park Anchor

I liked having coffee at the table out front, almost like a verandah, and chatting with the neighbours. It’s dog friendly, the view is amazing, and the rooms are cosy, if not very large. The pool was cold and needed cleaning when we visited.

The pool was empty when we arrived on May 24th, at the beginning of the season. It was quite deep and poorly secured, which seemed dangerous, especially for children. The room TVs didn’t work either, and both the food and service in the kitchen disappointed us. The place itself is beautiful and has real potential, which makes the rest especially frustrating. One of our children tore a leaf off a plant, and the owner shouted rudely at the kids instead of speaking to us as their parents. That was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. After reading earlier reviews about the owners, we don’t think this was an isolated incident. We didn’t find the place kid friendly, and families should think twice before booking. We wouldn’t return or recommend it, especially to families.

We only spent one night at hotel Anchor, but we’ll definitely be back. It was peaceful and close to both the beach and the forest. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and breakfast the next morning was amazing, with good coffee. I’d recommend it for a cosy, quiet getaway, with or without children.

The food was delicious, fresh, and varied enough to suit different tastes. Our stay was amazing too: the hotel was calm and quiet, the rooms spotless and well maintained, and the hosts were always friendly and ready to help. Highly recommend!
