My husband and I come here often since it's right next to where we stay in Sozopol. The sea view is stunning, the food is always good, and the servers are friendly every time.

I don't see much reason to eat here unless it's really close to where you're staying. The service felt rushed and unprofessional, though I wouldn't call it aggressive. The food didn't live up to the rating: my chicken was bland, and the fried potatoes seemed refrigerated, the sort you'd expect from a cheap roadside place. My dish had barely any meat, with heaps of vegetables dressed up as though they were meat. The supposed homemade bread was just a bun with a little cheese on top. Either the place has gone downhill, or a lot of the reviews are fake.

Orion Restaurant sits on a hill away from the busy city center, and the sunset view is breathtaking. The staff were friendly and spoke English and German, though finding parking was difficult because most spots were reserved. The food was average: the Bulgarian shopska salad arrived warm, the grilled fish tasted metallic from the grill, and the seafood tagliatelle was too creamy with very little seafood. It's a nice place for drinks and appetizers while you watch the sunset.

The harbour views around golden hour are among the best, and since the restaurant is a little off the beaten path, getting a table is usually easy. We had the best dinner of our time in Sozopol by far. Everything was top-notch, from the food and service to the atmosphere and views. The food tasted fantastic, the prices are hard to beat, and there's a great range of dishes, especially Bulgarian cuisine. Good vegetarian choices are rare in Bulgaria, so those were a welcome surprise. I highly recommend it.
