Sozopolis

We slept well in the comfortable beds, and the complex is peaceful, green, and beautiful, with amazing sunsets. We spent a week in a spacious three bedroom maisonette that could easily be advertised as a villa. It had a nice verandah and balcony, both facing the sea, three bathrooms with toilets, a kitchen with a big dining table, and a living area. The kitchen had a fridge, oven, and hobs, but no dishwasher or washing machine. The pool area was lovely, though the lounger mattresses were dirty and torn. Breakfast was good, and we had a nice lunch at the fish restaurant, which has a good selection of fresh fish. The gentleman who checked us in and showed us to the room was kind and helpful. We’d definitely stay again. A few things could be better: better quality jams and honey at breakfast, larger bathroom towels, and more cutlery and crockery in the kitchen.

The place is beautiful and quiet, with lovely views. But villa 11G felt bare and could use more things. We came with two children and there was nothing to wipe up after their meals, not even salt or sugar. The lighting was very bad, too, so the inside felt empty. That part was disappointing.

The view is the one good thing about the location; otherwise, it’s far from everything. The reception was so rude that we’d never go back.
