I was travelling alone and didn't find many people around my age to chat with, though there were plenty of nice Ukrainian families and guests from places like Slovakia and Moldova. The staff at reception, the pool bar, restaurant, and housekeeping were always friendly and helpful. I was worried after reading some reviews, but Hotel Colosseum worked out fine for a cheap stay. It's right by the beach and about a 10 minute walk from the bars on Flower Street. The food didn't have much choice or variety, but I could always find something, even if it was just chips, chicken, bread, and fruit. Ice cream cones and cakes were available from 4pm. The all-inclusive pool bar ran from 10am to 10pm. There was a singer for a few hours from 7pm, and a dance show one night. I booked all inclusive through On The Beach and thought it was good enough value. There seemed to be only around 60-70 sun loungers around the pool, so getting one could be difficult when the hotel is busy. Seats in the restaurant may be tight too, so get there early. The restaurant times while I was there were breakfast 7:30-10am, lunch 12:30-2pm, snacks 4-5pm, and dinner 6:30-8pm.

The rooms are decent and the hotel itself is nice, but the food is absolutely terrible. I eat pretty much anything, and even I couldn't get past it. Breakfast had sausages, then in the evening there were leftovers with tomato sauce. On my last day they served soup that was rancid. I swear it seemed to be the same soup from the previous three days. It's a four-star hotel, but the food could put your health at risk. The rooms and location are perfect, so eat somewhere else. Stay safe.

For the price and how close it is to both the beach and the center, it's a good place to stay. The shower was hard to manage, though: the water would start hot for about two minutes, then turn cold. It got a little easier to shower in the evening. Also, the pool looks great in the photos, but in person it didn't make me want to try it.

The staff were nice, and the food and bar were OK. The hotel is close to the beach, but has no sunbeds for guests. The furniture and TV are old, so it really doesn't feel like a four-star place. It definitely needs some improvement.

Breakfast was perfect, the staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel was quiet. It worked well for two people and for families too. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. We'd definitely return if we get the chance. :)
