Hotel Glarus Beach

I’ve been coming to Sunny Beach for 25 years, and this was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The food was disgusting, really cold, and the bread was stale. The room was clean, and they brought fresh bedding and towels every day, but the shower was so low that I struggled to wash my hair.

We had a lovely stay, and the staff were lovely too. Breakfast was fine, the rooms are spacious, and the air con is good. We paid 15 leva per day extra for a sea view, and it was well worth it. The only small issues were that the shower flooded the whole bathroom because there’s no lip on the tray, and the balcony door badly needs servicing, as it doesn’t close properly and the frame is missing a sealing gasket. Other than that, very good.

After a long trip, the staff in the lobby made our first day the worst. There was no communication or interaction. A very bad experience, especially with the lobby staff. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed for two nights after our flight home was cancelled, and they gave us a room with no hassle. We booked bed and breakfast, even though our previous hotel had been all inclusive. The breakfast selection wasn’t huge, but it was enough for us. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the sea view was amazing. You do hear noise from the bars, so it may not suit everyone. We’d definitely stay again.
