Harmony Suites Grand Resort

The restaurant service was the worst I’ve ever seen. The servers hardly came over, and we had to go find them to pay while they spent a long time chatting. They forgot our water, one dish came without fries, and when I went to eat after my friend, they didn’t bring fresh cutlery. This happened on all three times we ate there, so it wasn’t just one server having an off day. The room was okay and fairly clean, but sounds came through the door and walls, and the pool was really cold.

The pools were lovely and clean, with plenty of loungers and day beds. I liked the 100 lv fine for leaving a towel on a lounger all day without using it. Everyone gets a chance that way. We sat at the bar for a drink and came back to our loungers, but if you’re going to be away for hours, take your things with you. There’s a gym too, but we didn’t see or use it, so I can’t comment. I’d definitely stay again. It’s less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and shops, so the hotel stays quiet while lively, beautiful Sunny Beach is close by. Reception staff were polite, helpful and spoke great English. We left our car in the car park across the way, and it felt completely safe. Our two rooms had double beds, plenty of cupboard space, and a lounge with a sofa bed that opens into a double. There was room for 5/6 people, plus a big balcony. The fixtures and fittings were modern. The roomy bathroom had a shower, toilet, sink, washing machine and large mirrors. All three rooms had air conditioning and a TV, and there were plenty of sheets and pillows for all three beds, as well as an iron and ironing board. A couple of things could have been better, though they didn’t spoil our stay. The kitchen had a microwave, toaster, kettle, small hob, fridge and sink, with glasses, plates, cups and cutlery in the cupboards, but nothing to cook with, so using the hob wasn’t really possible. That didn’t bother me, as I wasn’t there to cook, but I know some families need that. The cleaning wasn’t thorough either. We found cigarette filters under the sofa and TV cabinet, deflated balloons behind the lounge TV, and lots of black, sand like dust on the floor. Moving the coffee table and rug to open the sofa bed showed they hadn’t been lifted to clean underneath after a guest left. I checked by the bedside cabinets too and found more dust and dirt built up over time. I cleaned it myself and that was that. I’m mentioning it just for the review.

The pools around the hotel are good and not overcrowded, so it’s easy to find a sunbed. The one bedroom apartments are clean, tidy and modern, and the reception staff quickly sorted out the issue after I messed up the safe. We haven’t tried the on site restaurant yet, though I’ve been told it’s very nice. Shame there are no slides in the pools, but you can’t have everything. We’re thoroughly enjoying our holiday.

The pool is big and clean, though the water is very cold, and the kids’ pool is nice too. There’s a large park with a children’s playground and a good restaurant by the pool. We haven’t tried the other Harmony facilities, but you can access them. The room was new, clean and convenient, though it could have been a bit larger. The main drawback is the distance from the beach and places of interest.
