Hotel Planeta Studio

The rooms were decent, and the hotel was pleasant enough, but several things dragged the stay down. At busy times the tiny elevators, which fit maybe 3-4 people, meant waits of up to ten minutes to reach the room, pool, or restaurant. The food was mediocre, with little variety and some dishes I couldn't eat, though there was enough to avoid going hungry. Fruit options were basically limited to watermelon. Food sensitivities were handled poorly. We contacted the hotel ahead of time and they had some prepacked gluten-free bread ready, but that was the only option. One poolside ice cream server also wouldn't accept that someone sensitive to gluten couldn't have ice cream in a waffle cone. Most staff were reasonably nice, but that interaction could spoil the day. When the hotel filled up near the end of our stay, the pool had no free sunbeds and the dining room felt crowded, with people sometimes spending 15 minutes searching for a table. The rooms were okay, though the lack of accessible power outlets was inconvenient. I'd call it a solid 3/5. I don't expect to stay again and can't really recommend it.

Housekeeping was unreliable: the bathroom had mold, and towels or toiletries were often missing. Meals were poor and repetitive, with the same breakfast each day, food that didn't seem fresh, and even stomach problems afterward. Drinks were low quality, the terrace had a strong smell of alcohol, and getting a beer or ice cream was a hassle. The entertainment felt lifeless, and the animators looked as if they were working for free. For a place presented as a five-star all-inclusive, this was far below standard. I wouldn't recommend it.

The pool water was clean and warm, and there were enough loungers by both the pool and sea. Our apartment was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. Cleaning seemed surface-level, though. There was dirt behind furniture, under the bed and couch, and in the wall corners. My daughter's earpods also went missing from our room on the 7th floor. We left them on the nightstand the day we arrived and didn't move them, so keep an eye on your belongings. The one other thing I missed was a bar at the beach.

The hotel looks beautiful, but the rest fell short. Food choices were limited, the gym machines were broken and couldn't be used for weights, and the pools didn't look like what I expected from the photos. It didn't feel up to five-star standards.
